Strategic agreement in place for office products business in the Hunter region.

 

Complete Office Supplies and Newcastle-based Sharp Office today announced they have reached a strategic agreement under which the supply of Sharp Office’s office products customers, including office supplies, furniture and branded merchandise, will transition to COS from 3 August.  

 

Sharp Office will continue to independently own and operate its print solutions division, including copiers and printers.

We’re delighted to welcome the Sharp Office office products team and customers to COS and build on those foundations.

Sharp Office director, Joel Anderson added:  “Sharp Office has always been built on relationships, service and trust. After careful consideration, we believe COS is the right organisation to continue supporting our office products customers into the future.

Sharp Office will remain focused on our print solutions business, which will continue to operate independently and remain a core part of our future,” he said.

 

All Sharp Office account managers, customer service team members and drivers have been offered employment with COS as part of the transition, helping ensure continuity for customers and preserving the local relationships that have been central to the success of the business.

 

Joel Anderson steps down as ASA chairman

 

Following its sale to COS, Sharp Office Newcastle will cease to be a member of ASA Australia effective 3 August 2026. 

 

Sharp Office director Joel Anderson has stepped down both as chairman and director of the group. 

 

In a statement, ASA said: ASA “Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank Joel for leading the group over many years, successfully guiding ASA through rough economic waters with his resilience, integrity and strategic vision.” 

Sharp Office Mid Coast (former Holiday Coast Taree) is not part of the change and will remain an ASA member. 

 

ASA business manager Jenny Cotter said that all benefits including terms and rebates associated with ASA Australia group should cease by 02 August 2026 for Sharp Office Newcastle only.
