ACCO acquires Euro tech firm

ACCO (US) has acquired a major European audio group that will enhance its Kensington portfolio.
ACCO Brands has bought the EPOS business of Denmark-based Demant in a deal worth up to €10 million (US$11.7 million). Demant announced plans to sell EPOS in early 2024 as part of its strategy to focus on the hearing healthcare sector.
Mainly known for its headsets, EPOS also sells speakerphones and other professional audio and video hardware and software products. It exited the gaming segment at the end of 2024 following a restructuring process that saw
the business return to profitability after several loss-making years.
Revenue in 2023 was around €110 million (which included gaming), but the latest figure given in an ACCO press release was just under €70 million.
