Winc back to school in Queensland

State education department lifts temporary suspension.

Winc Australia has resumed its office products and classroom resources supply agreements with the Queensland Department of Education following a period of suspension due to product availability issues.

A spokesperson for Winc told Office Products News: “We have been working closely with the Queensland Department of Education to resolve the issue and, as a result of our continued operational improvements, the department is now satisfied that Winc is well-placed to supply Queensland schools with their back-to-school needs.

“The temporary suspension has now been lifted and schools are in the process of being informed,” the spokesperson said.

“While our DIFOT and NPS results continue to increase week on week, we haven’t stopped. We are continuing to drive for even better performance and greater consistency across every account to ensure the benefits of our operational improvements are felt by all customers,” the spokesperson added.

As previously reported by OPN, the department and Winc agreed that Winc would not seek to enter any new orders for ‘Back to School’ through to 31 December 2020 or until the “current issues were resolved to the satisfaction of Procurement Services”.

Queensland schools were then advised not to place orders for BTS supplies with Winc “until further notice”.

Meantime, OPN understands that Winc has also had supply issues with Catholic schools in NSW, with one source claiming some schools have been directed to Complete Office Supplies.
