Well-known Sydney dealer sold to Dynamic Office National

End of an era as Kresners exit after 35 years.

One of Sydney’s best-known office supplies businesses – Stationery Wholesalers (which changed its name to Get Yoo last year) – has been sold to Dynamic Office National.

The sale, effective 20 September, will see around 20 Get Yoo sales staff moving to Dynamic’s offices at St Leonard’s on Sydney’s north side. This is the second Sydney business Dynamic Office National, co-owned by David Loxton of Pencraft Office National in Brisbane, has acquired in recent times, the other being Artarmon-based Capital Office Choice, previously owned by the Hanna brothers.

Get Yoo director Ben Kresner told Office Products News that the timing of the sale suited the retirement plans of his parents and company founders Bernie and Marcia Kresner.

“Since the rebranding to Get Yoo, the business has picked up,” he said.

Kresner added that having joined the business in 2004, he is now looking for new opportunities.

Stationery Wholesalers grew out of a small office suppliers firm called Dudley House, which was purchased by Bernie and Marcia Kresner in 1984.

Over the past 35 years, the business won many industry awards, including national dealer of the year on numerous occasions.

ASA opportunity in Sydney

Get Yoo’s sale will not impact on the viability of buying group ASA-Australia, according to Ben Kresner.

‘The group took a lot of costs out of members’ businesses with the restructure earlier this year and as the only group that offers 100 per cent of rebates to members, it’s absolutely fantastic that 100 per cent of marketing funds go to those members,” he said.

He added that Get Yoo’s sale could “leave a hole and an opportunity” in Sydney.
