Warehouse Stationery sales bounce back

Kiwi retailer reports a revenue turnaround.
New Zealand’s Warehouse Stationery has recovered from a revenue slump with same-store sales increasing in the third quarter.
Warehouse Stationery generated revenue of NZ$57.1 million, a reported year-on-year decline of 2.9 per cent, blamed on the different timing of the peak BTS trading period compared with the previous fiscal year. Adjusted for this, like-for-like same-store sales grew by 3.1 per cent.
Revenue for the first nine months of the year was NZ$173.2 million, up by 1.7 per cent on a comparable same-store basis. Warehouse Stationery’s same-store numbers reflect the performance of its standalone locations and do not include its areas within sister retailer The Warehouse.
In 2025, Warehouse Stationery (part of The Warehouse Group) showed a stabilizing performance following a difficult 2024. While early 2025 interim reports indicated sliding sales, second-half top-line trends stabilized. However, parent group reporting continued to reflect challenging economic conditions.
