New dates to be announced shortly.

 

Dealer group Office Choice and GNS Wholesale have pulled the pin on next month’s combined  OPiX Industry Expo due to uncertainty over quarantine requirements and interstate travel arrangements following recent COVID-19 outbreaks.

 

The Expo was planned to be held at The Star Gold Coast from 13-14 August.

 

Office Choice and GNS are now working with all stakeholders to reschedule the event to August 2022 with confirmed dates to be announced as soon as possible. 

 

In a statement, the organisers said: “In response to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty regarding border restrictions, quarantine requirements and the health and safety of all attendees, Office Choice and GNS Wholesale have made the necessary decision to reschedule the OPIx2021 Industry Expo. 

 

“Office Choice and GNS Wholesale, together with our newsagency partners Newspower and NewsXpress have all recommitted to this event and embrace the opportunity to facilitate the OPIx Industry Expo in 2022 with a focus of reuniting and celebrating what is a resilient, resourceful and robust industry. 

 

“Further details on the OPIx2022 event will be provided and we look forward to building a great event for our supply partners, members and customers. We fully understand and appreciate the level of planning that is required to participate in this event for members and suppliers and we will assist all attendees to prepare for the new dates. 

 

“We continue to monitor the situation closely and as it evolves, we will act on the advice from the Australian Government Department of Health and local health departments.”
