Opal keeps Reflex in the ‘too hard’ tray

Market leading copy brand still in limbo.

It’s been six months since Opal Australian Paper closed down the white paper plant at its Maryvale Mill but the company is still unsure what it will do with its leading A4 copy paper brand Reflex.

Following enquiries by Office Products News, the officially-named ‘Reflex Team’ at Opal responded by saying it is still “unclear” if Reflex will become available again from another manufacturer in the future.

The Maryvale Mill produced its last ream of Reflex in January but will continue to manufacture brown packaging paper and cardboard.

“This has been a tough and challenging time for our team members, who have proudly made Reflex for more than 35 years,” the company said.
