Officeworks Toowoomba has Deadly intent

New store puts Indigenous pathways up front.
Toowoomba is set to welcome Queensland’s second-largest Officeworks, with the retailer opening of its newly-relocated store on 16 April.
At 2,500 sqm, the new store is nearly double the size of its previous location with an expanded selection of art supplies and same-day printing services.
The Toowoomba store will be the first of 17 future Officeworks locations to be officially recognised as a ‘Deadly Store’—a reflection of the retailer’s commitment to fostering a ”culturally safe and inclusive environment that honours and celebrates Indigenous culture, traditions, and values”.
To earn the ‘Deadly Store’ designation, a store must contribute to “creating meaningful employment pathways, supporting  the career growth of Indigenous team members, and strengthening connections between Officeworks and the local Indigenous community”.
