Officeworks largest warehouse underway

Work commences on retailer's largest warehouse.

Officeworks said its new omnichannel distribution centre at the Redbank Motorway Estate near Ipswich will create hundreds of local jobs.

The site will feature advanced automation, smarter fulfilment technology and increased processing capability.

Spanning 77,100 sqm and incorporating advanced automation, the facility is designed to transform Officeworks' national supply chain and set a new benchmark for omnichannel fulfilment.

Third round of permanent price reductions.

Meantime, Officeworks has announced another series of price reductions, the third ‘Price Drop’ promotion since February this year.

Rolling out in-store and online from this week, the expanded range of permanent price drops includes desks, chairs, stationery and workplace essentials.

Officeworks managing director John Gualtieri said: “We are seeing our customers shop more intentionally, making purchases more often, however paying close attention to what they are putting in their baskets.

“That’s why locking in lower prices on everyday essentials can make quite a difference in the long term,” he said.

Among the latest price drops are popular workspace upgrades and everyday essentials including:
  • Reine 2 Drawer High Gloss White Desk now $269 (was $299)
  • Otto Kronborg Ergonomic Chair Grey now $179 (was $199)
  • Stabilo Boss Highlighters Pastel Assorted 4 PK now $9 (was $11)
  • ColourHide A4 Zip Binder 2-D Sky Blue now $6.50 (was $8)
Officeworks for Business customers can receive an additional five per cent off eligible products already reduced.
