Retailer ramps up next phase of growth.

 

Officeworks has appointed Troy Verhagen (pictured) as  general manager – education, a role that is responsible for accelerating the retailer’s “next phase of growth” in the education sector.

 

Verhagen joined Officeworks in 2019 as head of commercial strategy to establish and scale the company’s education business offer, which includes the recent acquisition of Box of Books, which will now be part of the combined education unit.  

 

Until recently, Verhagen was as member of the Early Childhood Development Council, where he helped shaped policy reform in early childhood over the last five years.   

 

He previously held senior positions over a seven-year period with Coles.
