Office Products Charity Fund set for take-off

Fundraising campaign underway for children’s charities.

The Australian  Office Products Charitable Fund (AOPCF ) is starting to ramp up its fundraising efforts to coincide with its annual golf day (4 September) and the Christmas charity lunch (27 November).

This year’s major benefactor will be Hope in a Suitcase.

Hope in a Suitcase Australia is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers who are passionate about showing every child who enters the foster care system that they are loved and valued by the community. They aim to do this by giving them a suitcase of their own to ensure they have a safe and secure place in which to pack their belongings. The suitcases are filled with essential items such as toiletries, clothing, toys, books and stationery.

The AOPCF will also be undertaking to provide 800 backpacks filled with school stationery to be delivered to the following  organisations:
  • Catholic Education Wilcannia-Forbes
  • Kingsway Care
  • Dandelion Support Network
The charity will be seeking support from suppliers to assist in providing products for the backpacks.

AOPCF chairman John Donaghy said: “I’d like to thank all those suppliers who have given their support to the charity over many years.

‘This year’s major benefactor Hope in a Suitcase is a classic example of children’s charities that fly ‘under the radar’ and really appreciate the support of the independent office products industry,” he said.
