Office Choice CEO resigns

Marketing and merchandising boss named interim CEO.

Brad O’Brien, CEO of Office Choice Ltd (pictured), has announced his resignation after nearly 14 years with the Melbourne-based dealer group.

In statement, Office Choice said that after almost 14 years at the helm, it was time for O’Brien to step down and “facilitate a structured succession plan”.

O’Brien will remain with the business during a handover period to support the interim CEO and the board during the transition  period in the months ahead.

Teresa Thompson, currently chief marketing and merchandise officer, has been appointed as the interim CEO having been a member of the executive leadership team.

Thompson said she is focused on “continuity, member value and execution”.

“I appreciate the board’s confidence and look forward to leading Office Choice Limited during this period. My focus will be on delivering practical value, supporting members to compete and grow, and building on the strong foundations already in place,” she said.

Office Choice chairman Daniel Kelly (managing director of Stuart & Dunn Office Choice) said the board is confident in the transition plan and the leadership appointment.

“Brad has made a significant contribution to Office Choice Limited and to the independent dealer network over many years. The board thanks him for his leadership and commitment. We are pleased to appoint Teresa as interim CEO and are confident in her ability to lead the business through this next phase with focus and discipline,” he said.

O’Brien added: “It has been a privilege to lead Office Choice for almost 14 years and work alongside such a committed member network and team. I am confident the business is well positioned for the future, and I look forward to supporting Teresa as she steps into the interim CEO role.”
