Logitech sees more B2B potential

Tech supplier targets education, government and healthcare sectors plus news from Mitsubishi Pencil.

Logitech has again underlined the growing importance of its enterprise business, saying it sees “significant untapped potential” in the B2B market as organisations continue investing in workplace technology and AI-enabled collaboration tools.

Speaking on the company’s fourth-quarter earnings call, CEO Hanneke Faber said demand from business customers outpaced consumer demand in fiscal 2026, with Logitech for Business becoming one of the firm’s main strategic priorities for the year ahead.

Video collaboration sales rose eight per cent in constant currency in both the fourth quarter and full fiscal year, helped by continued growth in EMEA and the Americas. Logitech said it was gaining market share in the segment while the broader video conferencing market continued to expand.

Faber noted the vendor’s focus on “enterprise-grade commercial capabilities” and sectors such as education, government and healthcare.

She noted that businesses were continuing to invest in technology and office upgrades despite wider economic uncertainty. Faber added that demand remained particularly strong for premium workplace devices and collaboration solutions.

Faber said rapid advances in AI would create “a unique period” for Logitech to innovate, particularly in areas such as video collaboration, headsets and productivity tools.

The company highlighted several AI-enabled offerings, including its upcoming Rally AI conferencing cameras, AI-powered meeting framing technology and noise suppression features in headsets and webcams.

Mitsubishi Pencil eyes overseas growth

Growing its writing instruments business outside Japan is a key strategy for Mitsubishi Pencil following a business alliance with a private equity firm.

The Uni brand owner recently unveiled US$84 million funding package as part of a broad strategic alliance with Japanese private equity and consulting firm Advantage Partners. While the majority of the amount will be used to repay borrowings, the company has earmarked almost US$2 million for the development of its overseas writing operations.

Additionally, it pointed to opportunities in higher value-added products and ‘businesses other than writing instruments’ as it looks to diversify its revenue base.
