Amazon Business hits revenue milestone

Office furniture among strongest growth categories.

For the first time in more than three years, Amazon Business has disclosed a new gross revenue figure, highlighting the scale of its continued expansion as the world’s largest B2B reseller.

The online reseller said annualised gross sales reached US$60 billion in the second quarter of 2026, up from the “roughly” US$35 billion figure it last reported in April 2023. The latest milestone represents growth of more than 70 per cent over the period, or a year-on-year increase of around 20 per cent.

It also revealed that it now serves more than 11 million organisations worldwide, compared with six million three years ago and eight million in mid-2025. More than 1.8 million organisations have become Amazon Business customers so far this year as the business continues to expand its presence across both the private and public sectors.

Commenting on the update, Shelley Salomon, Worldwide VP of Amazon Business, said customers were increasingly turning to the platform for its broad product range, competitive pricing and delivery capabilities as they sought to reduce costs and simplify procurement.

Salomon noted that customers increasingly want to purchase more of the products they need from fewer vendors, reflecting a wider trend towards supplier consolidation and reducing the number of supplier relationships and purchase orders they have to manage.

Meanwhile, Amazon Business has expanded its global assortment by almost 30 per cent over the past year, with particularly strong growth in categories such as repair tools and office furniture.
