Office Products News - Winc NZ, Amazon, Officeworks, Costco

Good afternoon,

It’s no surprise that an ongoing national survey shows children are spending more time glued to their devices as they get older, with those aged 12 to 13 staring at screens for at least three hours a day.

While it remains shy of the daily 4.5 hours American tweens spend in front of the TV and on their devices, it is still above Australia's recommended limit of two hours a day.

Mobile devices are not only de facto ‘baby-sitters’, they are also ‘boredom-beaters’ for children who are not as active as they should be.

Perhaps it’s time for stationery suppliers and retailers to mount a major campaign promoting the benefits of recreational pursuits using pens and paper?
